As November’s chillier winds begin to blow, and the season of Thanksgiving is upon us, we are naturally drawn inside, to the comfort and warmth of hearth and home.  What gathering spaces can we create (or refresh) in our homes to celebrate having those we love around us?

Family Room – comfy sofas, a sturdy coffee table and layers of soft lighting make this room perfect for family game night, group discussions both ordinary and profound  and a place to welcome guests
Movie Zone – no theater room required, start with a space to lounge, a few blankets nearby and a place to put bowls of popcorn and drinks; curl up together to watch the latest release or a family favorite
Couple’s Retreat – a cozy nook or a few chairs near the fireplace offers a place where couples can reconnect with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and a savory appetizer after a long day (kids optional!)
Kitchen – no matter the size, there is an unstoppable force that pulls everyone here. A fresh paint color, new cabinet knobs and a thorough reorganizing can make this a space you’ll be happy for your family and guests to linger in and connect

What gathering space do you love in your home?
